Hi,

Hoping your offer may end my years of brickwalls:

I am trying to find the following birth:

       born:  14 Aug 1859  (1st child)

Anna Theresa ENGMAN / INGMAN / INMAN

father:  Charles (Carl) O. ENGMAN, b.1825 Finland

      mother:  Mary MURPHY, b.1829, Ireland

       2nd child (Sara) died before Dec 1863 at 2 yrs (prob.b. 1861)

      per statment in Mary's will.

Charles was a sailor on Cunard Shipline, in Liverpool.

Mary was a devout Catholic, but I have no idea which church.

Their 3rd child b. on ocean to USA Dec 1863: on this ship

passenger's list the name is spelled INMAN, but Mary signed her

name w/ "X", so could be inaccurate spelling.

Of interest is her husband is not shown as a passenger {maybe crew?} on this ship.  It appears she was traveling only w/ her 3 yr old Theresa, in December, and giving birth...wow, what an experience!

I have tried FreeBMD & Lancs BMD, nothing...

I believe I have the correct date and location.  I want so badly to prove they actually existed where they claimed to be.

I thank you for any help or ideas where else I might look.

Hi,
Very generous offer .....could I ask if they hold copies of Liverpool newspapers c.1862? I wish to try and find an Obit or funeral notice.
Notification of death was listed in the Liverpool Daily Post of 30 MAY 1862 (death was the previous day) of George DEAKIN Esq. Salt Proprietor of 13 Falkner Square. Liverpool.
I'd like to see if the Obit or funeral notice appeared in a subsequent edition as this may help placing other family members. If I knew such an article existed I could presumeably request a photocopy (as I do from my local Records Office)
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Odessa.

Hi Florida Girl

Thankyou so much for your lookup i dont have the marriage Certificate for Fishwich Hatton so if you could post the details to the board that would be great i am trying to find out what his mother was called all i know is that she was Sarah?

And any other info regarding his kids if he had any would be great as i live in Scotland i dont find it very easy searching the records up here.

So thanks again for all your help

Hiya

Thankyou for that Info you sent.
Thats what im hoping for that the Fishwick was his mothers name as it comes right down as a middle name upto 1950 but i havent been able to come accross a marriage of a James Hatton to a Fishick at all yet.

Fishwick Hatton was born in Westkirby Cheshire .

Hi florida girl,

I've just had some info from the ceredigion archives with reference to my 4x grandparents, who spent most of their lives in Aberystwyth.
Summarised from the 41, 51 and 61 census' (censi??)
Robert Molineaux and his wife Mary were born in Liverpool and that in 1851 their respective ages were 54 and 50. All their children were born in Aberystwyth.
Robert Molineaux's occupation was listed as a painter and decorator.

Their first children Emma & Henry were born in 1826, so Robert and Mary had married before then. I cannot find the marriage in Aberystwyth however, so I assume that they married in Mary's home parish.
Marys surname was Caldwell. In the registers for St. Chad's Kirkby there is one Mary C. b. 4th Feb.1800, bapt. 23.2.1800 daughter of John and Ann Caldwell.
I cannot find any further details about Robert.

Could you possibly look up a marriage between Robert Molineaux and Elizabeth Caldwell, about 1824? This would give me a possible lead to his parents.

Thanks
