Cullen & Higgins Family
« on: Wednesday 18 November 09 18:20 GMT (UK) »
I am researching my great grandparents.  They lived in Moneenatieve Drumkeerin County Leitrim.  Geoffrey Cullen (great grandfather) born about 1829 died 1907 married Catherine Higgins (great grandmother) born about 1831/1832.  Catherine was alive in 1911 age 79.  Found her on 1911 Census. Their children were:  Bryan, Bridget, John, James, Mary, Catherine and Patrick (grand father).  Patrick married Bridget Fitzpatrick and they had 11 children.  Any information is appreciated.

Thanks

Mullies

I suggest that you post on Drumkeeranfolk@yahoo groups.com.
It deals with all of that area & everyone is most helpful.
There are some Cullens living in that general area, not sure about Higgins nowadays.
I have seen Moneenatieve mentioned often.
Good Luck :Maura
I am sorry but my email address is not working

Hi Kathy!
Well, stranger things have happened as here I am 12 years later! My Grandmother was Bridget Cullen, daughter of John Cullen & Mary McNulty of Moonanthieve, Drumkeeran. My Nan was usually called Bridie by the Cullens and after living in England for a time moved back to Ireland, to Sligo. Patrick Cullen was my great grandad Johns brother, my Nans Uncle & Geoffrey was her 1st Cousin. How do you get in touch with me? Am I allowed to put my email on here 🤷🏻‍♀️ Claire
