In this case I happen to be 100% sure.
It's actually spelt McAuley. the Charles mentioned here is my Great Great Grandfather.

Marriage 27 February 1889 at Glenarriff RC Church. Fathers James McIlroy a blacksmith and John McAulay (deceased) a labourer.

Don't know if this has been found already but the marriage between Charles McAuley and Anne McIlheron took place on 8th Feb 1875 at Cushendall RC Church.

Fathers names for both were Henry McAuley and Alexander McIlheron.

Witnesses were Patrick Mckeesick and Rose Mckillop
