So you know of an 1850 child surname "Smith" b in England.
Who & where was that? We may be able to locate 'em in 1851 if we had a starter.

I really don't know what will be on the  1844 Marriage record.
You would have to get hold of a copy of the original.

Have you seen the 1851 England census that has the family in Liverpool? Fairly sure it is the right one as mother in law is with them. Also Daniel born Scotland.

Civil registration started 1878'sh on the Island - thus all you have are extracted entries from the Marriage Reg - there was an official transcript of these registers made 1911 - this was filmed by the Mormons (and forms basis of IGI tho often fouled up by 'patron submissions' that for some reason were allowed to overwrite originals and are often misleading eg adding guessed names of spouses etc + many 'pure' inventions) - in 1843 Braddan you will probably just get 'both of this parish' - parents were not required to be named until 1847.

hi everyone thank you for the replies  It was daniel the son  who was born in england in 1850.  daniel and margaret married in 1844 and his fathers name was daniel.  it is this daniel that we know nothing about like wife or parents or other children.  the grandfather the father and the son all named daniel.   we are trying to go backwards.  where was the eldest daniel born and when?  when did he immigrate to ilse of man?  but i am not sure how to find this info or where.   is there a place to see the census records other than ancestry i dont subscribe anymore?

You would want Scotland's people for the baptism of Daniel who wed 1844, not Ancestry.
