Royal Artillery help

I'm looking for information on my grandfather Leonard Alfred Tyler born 1901 (not sure where). On his marriage certificate he is listed as class 1 Warrant Officer RA which I understand to be Royal Artillery. He was married in 1942 in Gosport whilst based at Lee on solent, but his home address at the time was in Devon. I would like to know wat his role would have been and if I might find his military record. There is something in brackets on his marriage certificate which i can't read. The first word is definitely Physical then it looks like 'gulture', then a word i can't read like 'coneultum ?' would any one out there have a clue what this could be ?

A WO1 is the same rank of a RSM.

He would be the senior Warrant Officer in a unit. Dependant upon role, he would be available as the right hand man of the Commanding Officer, and responsible for the bearing and discipline of the other ranks (other than officers that is!).

Perhaps it would be best to pop a copy of the details you are unsure of up on here so we can have a look.

Also worth a punt is the Veterans Agency for his records...

Half an eye, as the chappie responsible for that is the senior subaltern, better known as the Adjutant

1. "Physical Culture Consultant"
2. "Motorman" LCC.  Perhaps a tram driver, though I have heard this applied to electric train drivers.

Thanks.  Wonder what a physical culture consultant consulted on?  I thought the other profession was motorman but I couldn't imagine what this was. Neither could I read the acronym.  Thanks for your help
