William duckett born in Bolton  in 1873 died in Bolton.   Married rose in Glasgow.  His mother was Francis Delaney who came from Cork.  How he ended up in Derry I have no idea.   He died before I was born as did Rose.  His father was also named William.   We know nothing g about him or Rose.  My mum died in the early seventies and she very rarely spoke about her parents.

Many thanks for all the information I have only recently started researching my family tree and didn’t have much info on the Irish side. In case you need the info Frederick hawkins snr is originally from aldershot in england and his dad was Alexander, from what I gather he moved to Ireland when he enrolled in the army in Dover as he was in the royal inniskilling fusiliers. His son Frederick jnr married Kathleen Hawkins in mexborough yorkshire (my grandparents) but later got divorced, he moved down south and didn’t keep in touch with my dad so didn’t know much about him. Thanks again for all the info it’s been a great help!

Thank you so much for all Information regarding my relatives.  My sister and I knew nothing g whatsoever about William duckett.  My mother was born on the 16th August s couple of days after William's attempted  suicide.  It is so much appreciated  all the hard work you must have put in.  Will now try and find out how he ended up  in Derry.  Thank you .  Sheila.
