Hiya Rose ann,

You probably left Whinwell as I arrived, I was 4 or 5 when I first went to Whinwell(around 1964-5), I left for another children's home in Pitlochry at the start of primary 7.  I have a lot of guid memories and remember much of my time there.

I did leave a wee bit more on the "Stirling Message Board Whinwell home", please read Rose Ann :-}

Will hopefully catch up again

Aye

Neil

My name is Jean, I was in Whinwell and had my eighth birthday there in 1962.  Miss Dale was matron very strict, there was a day room with toys in a cupboard.  Had two older sisters Laura and Sandra and we all went to school a short distance away.  Can't remember how long we were there or much else except watching my father's car driving away and leaving us there.  Went back some years ago but it was no longer there and can't find any photos, school still stands but now used for something else.  Don't know any of the other children's names, perhaps someone will remember the three of us.
