Majm….  Didn’t mean to infer you suggested fire as cause of death. My apologies if I misled you.  The date of the article of the fire I saw on the  newspaper cutting.  Just didn’t notice it when you sent it to me.  And the information on Leslies date of birth. Was from a relative who lived in Adelaide. A granddaughter of Leslie Nelson.  Unfortunately I have lost touch with her after the seven year break I had on Rootschat.   I hope I can make contact again.  Dalek

I have tried to reach this relative. But her email address no longer available.   She last contacted me in Jan 2012.

Attaching a snip - re a mention of Horris in that other forum's thread...  I read the name as Florra, I don't read it as Horris on the 1889 baptism for Ellen, Annie and Florra.

I still write my Capital F in that very style.

Thanks Majm.  No I had seen that. The one that said Horris was a record on Ancestry and Family search.   Funny how the genes work re signatures.  I write “ N” the same way as my grandmother Flora [ Florrie) as she was called by the family.  Almost identical.  Dalek.

That birth date of Leslie Nelson I received from his granddaughter. That was seven years ago.  I was going through my old notes and found it. I’d forgotten I had it.  Memory.  It’s a wonderful thing.  If you have it.  🙄😁  Dalek

Seems strange that James and Mary Nelson registered their other children with the parents names added but not with Leslie and George.

Majm   I searched around and finally got onto a relative of Leslie Nelson.  She is going to contact me so hopefully will give me information on Leslie and George Nelson.  🤞. Dalek
