Looking for any info. on a Ann Booth b. 1834 Surfleet, parents John Booth & Ann Nevitt, 1851 unemployed living with parents Sutterton.

Child, Martha Smith Booth b.1857 Sutterton, father may be John Smith, no marriage found, Ann 1861?, Martha 1871 living with grandparents Surfleet, married 1874 to Edward Corn.

Hi woozle,

 Thank you had not got that, John Skinner Reynolds married a Lucy Nevitt in 1842, sister to Ann Nevitt who married a John Booth in 1831, parents to Ann Booth.

Getting a bit closer.

seeing as martha was with these people in 1861 and with her grandparents in 1871
i wondered if something had happened to ann between when martha was born in 1857-1858
and the 1861 census
but cannot find a death though or a marriage
or ann on 1861 census?

Hi woozle,

Have been through all the various items without luck, haven't tried to find John Smith he could be an itinerant and Martha could have gone with him, so I think that one could be a dead end.

The 1841 Census has the following entry for Marsh, Algarkirk, Boston RD:
- John Booth, a.40, b. Lincs, Ag. Lab.
- Ann Booth, a.30, b. Lincs
- Ann Booth, a.7, b. Lincs
- Betsey Booth, a.1, b. Lincs
- William Coxel, a.28, b. Lincs, Ag. Lab.

Presumably that is your Ann.
