It seems to have been in the Trinity St/Weelsby St area - if you have an Ancestry sub, you can see the Enumeration District description here http://search.ancestry.co.uk/Browse/view.aspx?dbid=7814&iid=LINRG13_3094_3097-0301

Thanks for that Geoff, my subs to Ancestry at the moment have expired, but I see on the 1901 census page it continues from Trinity Sq to Thorald St.
This is approximately where it will be, a rather poor area near the access to the fishing docks which were very labour intensive in them days.

There seem to be quite a lot of households in Trinity Square - it was under the heading "Courts" so may have been pretty grim.

Trinity Square..
If you were in Cleethorpe Road looking down Trinity Street...Trinity Square was down an alley on the right hand side of the street, at the back of the shops on Cleethorpes Road to your right.
If you know Grimsby as it is today, the square was  roughly about where the Aldi store is today.

Thank all for that, I just need to find a copy of that area for my family history file.
