1861 and 1851 census look up please- Completed thank you
« on: Wednesday 25 November 09 21:29 GMT (UK) »
A very helpful Rootschatter has been helping me on this census look up for later years, but I have two more census I would appreciate a look up for.

1861:   Property on index looks like Tile Hills, Tile Killin Road, Radwinter, Saffron Walden, Essex.  Sch 40 and 41

1851:  Tile Kiln Farm, Radwinter, Saffron Walden, Essex.  Sch 65

Details of occupants, and acreage if it is mentioned would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

KA

I have just come across this posting. The George Ruse nephew mentioned in the 1861 census was my GGrandfather, do you have an interest in him and the Chapman family that were living in the property, or is your interest in the property itself.
The property was known as 'Tile Kiln' or 'Tile Kiln Farm'. It still exists today but is called 'The Homestead', Ashdon Road, Radwinter.

My interest was in the property itself.  The changes of name to the property have been an intereresting path to follow. :)

Best wishes for the season.

Do you still have an interest in Tile Kiln Farm?
