You can send one another pm's by clicking on the green icon under the user's name ie the person to whom you wish to send a personal message....and type away when the new window opens.....and send ;D

Oh dear that does sound a tad confusing...hope you succeed anyway.

There are three Isaac REECE deaths listed on NSW BMD - unfortunately no ages given in the index.

1872  Isaac  REECE,  father Isaac; mother Edith, Mudgee  Reg 4989
1919  Isaac  REECE,  father Isaac; mother not listed, Molong Reg 16218
1918  Isaac  REECE  father, Edwin; mother Mary A, Sydney Reg  24

I think the 1872 death is the father who was 34 (b abt 1805) when he emigrated in 1839 and the 1919 death is Isaac (b abt 1829) who married Annie Adelaide.

Annie's marriage to William Townsend 1869
1869  William TOWNSEND  = Annie A REECE  at Warialda   Reg 3634

So I wonder if Annie had divorced Isaac or is there just no record of his death or was this a bigamous marriage??  (Unfortunately there are no NSW divorces online prior to 1873)

By the way the baby Flora b 1863 died the next year.  Interesting that what we think is Annie's surname appears as her given name in this record.
1864  Flora REECE  father Isaac; mother  MADRAH Scone Reg 5783

Do you have any records for Henry REECE - I cannot see any on the NSWBMD - the only Henry mentioned is the brother of Isaac (Annie's husband) who died at sea aged 2, before they arrived in Australia.  There is a Henry REECE died Liverpool Australia 1869 aged 88 (b abt 1781) thus too old to be a brother of either of the Isaacs.  I see no other record of this older Henry.

JudB you are correct Henry died on board the ship. i only just noticed that. Umm may I ask anyone as I am chasing the townsend side of thre tree I am in need of the birth of william townsend c1844 who married annie adelaide reece. i have his father listed as richard townsend and mother ruth white. This is secondhand information and I have no idea where to find the right info as I cant find it.There is a listing for a william townsend son of moses but he appears to be amrried to a different woman.

Any help there would be great.
May I ask how you peope know so much about family history research.??? You are very good at it.

Hi outback

Great work on finding 'Orella' Steele --- do you have her surname as Bearcroft c1813-1883 (Bingara)?

I have William Townsends birth as 1869, Warialda NSW

Hope this helps.

I'm hoping to spend some time on my Brett/Reece Tree tnite :)

How did you manage to track Orella down???

There are a number of REECE burials at Bingara General Cemetery online.

http://www.family.joint.net.au/index.php?mid=14&cid=590

Actually - this is a better site - has photos

http://austcemindex.com/cemetery-inscriptions.php?id=151&page=all

Unfortunately the list seems to only have burials from 1900ish, so no sign of Orella Steele.

However I see (all REECE)
Jacob Steel REECE d 1931 age 69 (thus b abt 1862),
his wife Frances (nee Collins) d 1941, age 71 (thus b abt 1862)
and two of their sons
Frederic John d 24 Jun 1919, age 25
William Weston d 23 July1919, age 34

Also on 18 Jul 1919, aged 1 day Ivy Joan dau of William Weston

What an awful time they had - I wonder if it was the flu epidemic?

Edit - I notice there is a historical society at Warialda so they may be able to find some info for you.
