So he was b. 1894. Also on the Australia National Recordsearch there are some military related records for him; it seems he was in the R.A.R.N from WWI, there it says he died 11.10.52, possibly in Queensland. His wife was Edith Mildred (they may have married in

Unless you are referring to another William Knox Kirkcaldie (his son?), there doesn't seem to be any link to SA.

Hi Thanks william that was in the navy was his son around 1900 william (Father ) left australia to work in the mines in south africa and i know is that the money stopped being sent home and the family think he may have died in south africa

I have checked the death notices - our most reliable source of info for resource - without any reference to him. I have checked my cemetery listings with no success. I have also checked a number of other databases with no luck.
