Is there any site where I could find out whether a man volunteered for service in WW1?

Hi,
Welcome to Rootschat. Perhaps if you could give us a little information we may be able to help. Possibly his full name and rough birth year and area where he was born. :)

Hi & welcome Satoal, like irret said if you give some details maybe we could see what could be found on who you want to know about.
What service/pension records did survive for WW1 are on Ancestry .co.uk  or  .com

There is pension records for a man and a medal card with the same name and place but born 1868?

Many thanks to all who replied.  I have now discovered that he volunteered for service saying he was 47 years old and was accepted.
