It is my understanding that the James family emigrated to Pennsylvania in the USA abt 1877. You are all being very helpful. :)

Thank all of you for putting me on the right track! The parents were in fact John and Anna. Their 86 year old great grand daughter also thanks you. I found the James family in the 1880 US Cencus living in Pennsylvania.
