Hi there,

There's an Arthur Robert Nicholls of no occupation on the 1930 Electoral Roll living at Cluvas, Napoleon Road, Punchbowl - No others with that surname at that address.

There's an Arthur Robert Nicholls, labourer on the 1933 and 1936 rolls, at the State Hospital at Lidcombe but he is NOT there at that address in the 1937 roll.

Do you know when Emily/ilie Eliza and Arthur Robert NICHOLLS came to Australia, and which state they settled in  :)

Cheers,

JM

Hi Lu, no not me, today is the first time I've posted on both the NZ and Aus sites, I also tried the india link.(Got slapped wrist for that- more me than him) I do think I know who did on my behalf- Shizara. See Scotland Rootschat for Lieut.Col.James. Dalrymple and then England for Hankins - started by a cousin through JH Hankins- his sister's descendant. Thanks for your help. Sarah Thomson has really baffled me.

Dear Lucy2, I'm really amazed because my Mum was in Sidney then and I've seen somewhere that Emily Eliza died there in 1949- Mum was there then. She never knew them-sad. This needs to go back to the Lieut.Col.James Dalrymple thread. Thank you for this, I'm very grateful.

Thanks Glamis  ... aaah yes, Shizara it will be  ?    :)

Will see if I can find that thread, and have a read through  ... I think a lot of "territory" has been covered previously.
Will get back to you shortly.

Thanks Lucy2- just being abit stupid but what does 'artiste'really mean? Was she painting and living with her son or was Frank the dentist her husband. Sorry for seeming dim but it is a very convoluted history.

Just Moi, Thankyou, do you think there were a couple of addresses for this branch of the family. I'm really sure I've seen that Emily died 1949 in Sidney- will look out the source but this all needs to go on the Scotland -Lieut.Col.James Dalrymple thread too.
