George SINCLAIR - Bath
« on: Saturday 05 December 09 16:53 GMT (UK) »
Really don't have much information to help find him - can't find a birth but there is a family rumour that he was born, or his family were from, the Isle of Arran.  The only thing we know about him is that he lived in Bath between 1918 and about 1928. He 'married' Mabel Curtis who was born in Bath in 1885 and they had two children Peggy and Mabel Sinclair, born in 1915 and 1916 respectively.  Any leads would be a great help!

Thanks

Professor of Music  and Clarinet Player I think.

He is in the Bath Postal Directories from 1918 to 1928 ish and is down as being a Professor of Music.

what about the 1911 census; he may be in the area with a job associated with Music then?

No - can't find him on there either!

He was supposed to have died when his daughter Peggy was about 6 (which would have been around 1921) - which has kind of made me assume that he was older than than his wife but as he still appears to be in Bath up till about 1928 that may be wrong anyway.

He's tricky.

How do you know the date of birth of Mabel Curtis?

Do you know when she died?

Do you have her death certificate?
