Do you think the William Goodrich which is aged 57 on the 1951 census is the William Goodrich mentioned as being born in 1788?

There does seem to be a lot of evidence supporting this, but do that records follow as far as your concerned Mike?

I wonder if anyone (Tim, Mike) has made any more progress on clarifying the paternity of William Goodrich, my 4th paternal great grandfather? I have come to a dead end with him. What I know is in my family tree - Goodrich - on Ancestry.co.uk

This is my family tree also. I've done a little research and 'think' I've followed the Goodrich name back to the 1600 but it gets murky with dates and alot of Thomas and Robert Goodrichs.

My grandfather: Brian alfred Goodrich (northampton)1934-1992

Alfred Arthur Goodrich 1903-1981

Alfred Goodrich 1881-1959 married Annie Barratt

William Goodrich 1855/7- 1911 (apparently moved to northampton) married Mary Ann Billingham

Alfred Goodrich 1819-1859 (Leicester)

William Goodrich 1788-1871 married Sophia burrows

Lemuel goodrich 1760-1829 , married Lydia scott

Thomas Goodrich 1735-1765? (Foxton Leicester) married Ann

Thomas Goodrich 1705-1738

Robert Goodrich  1675- 1715

Thomas Goodrich 1649-1735

Robert Goodrich 1607- 1679

Thomas Goodrich 1580-1675

John Goodrich 1551-1609

I think previous to this the name goodricke might have been used.
