Charles Hurley co Kerry
« on: Wednesday 09 December 09 17:37 GMT (UK) »
Looking for information on Charles Hurley, his wife was Alice sorry I have no surname for Alice. I would like to know where they came from, any help with this search would be very much appreciated. I live in the US and I am at a loss, I know very little about this family.

Thank you,
Happy Holidays
Betty Chapman

Shane thank you. The only date I have, would be my great grandmother's wedding date which was November 15 1876 catholic Church Duagh. both fathers are on the certificate  John Somer's and Michael Scanlon, Lucy Scanlon was  the daughter of Mary Hurley. as I said Charles Hurley 's wife was Alice?. again thank you  Betty

There are two Hurley marriages recorded in Tralee, Co. Kerry, both have a father Charles, no mother listed, she may have been desceased.

He is also listed as a Godparent at a few baptisms, all Tralee

Hi Betty,

Hurley is not really a Kerry name, it is a West Cork name mainly around Skibbereen. Cork parish records are going online just after Christmas.
