When son Joshua John Babbs married in St Mary Newington 17th October 1841 he gave his father as John Babbs deceased. Some confusion over what John Babbs senior middle name was if he had any. James Babs , Louisa' Babbs father on his marriage gave his father's name as John Thomas.

Wow, you have been busy, thankyou.
Now it is obvious where the Roche comes in and they too in shipping.
Very pleased there is now a surname for Sophia, so many thanks  for all your help.

I have sent Dorothy an email to read the Rootschat boards, I know she is blown
away regarding the amount of info on these boards and what I have found locally for her,
she is very grateful, without help like this I would be stuck also, so thanks to everyone.
