Looking for marriage of Edward Ellum & Margaret @1701
« on: Friday 11 December 09 17:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Edward Ellum & his wife Margaret had 3 children all baptised in Bassingbourn in 1703/1705/1709, but their marriage does not appear on the IGI. Foes anyone have access to any Marriage indexes which might show where they were born please?

Many Thanks

David ;)

Cambs marriages are only two parishes short of being fully covered by Boyds Marriage Index, which is on British Origins. Didn't you say a couple of days ago that you had a subscription to this site?

The marriage doesn't appear in the Bassingbourn transcript. Pre 1754 marriages often don't contain anything more than the names of the two parties

Bassingbourne is only a mile or so from Royston, which is in Herts. But I can't see a marriage on the Allen Marriage Index on the HALS site
