The 1841 census has

Low Harris, Preston Quarter
Robert JONSTONE 30 Coal Miner
Rachael 30
Joseph 10
Charles 5
Rachel 2
Mary PEARSON 65
Hugh JONSTON 25 Coal Miner
Deborah 25
Margaret 2m

Given age 30, Rachael ought to have been born 1806-11.  However, the only baptism I can find is 7 Jan 1803, St Bees - daughter of Joseph and Mary.

Regarding your last question, why do you say her (Rachel PEARSON's) mother was Rachel?
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

I remember looking at these when you made your first post on 7 November 2009 on the other board. These were Holy Trinity Christenings - other children listed for Robert and Rachel but must have died in infancy.

I see you never replied to answer the questions you were asked to clarify what you already know.  It does help if you give as much information as you can and make it clear what else you wish to know.

Andrea

I was just about to post information on the death of Rachel Johnstone and a remarriage to Elizabeth Macivor which I have spent time looking up and now I discover another board in Cumberland started in July 2007 on William Johnson and which continues in March this year with the same details !!!!!  How many more postings are there ???

If you are looking for Rachel's Parents it looks like checking the parish records at the records office.  We have all looked for that marriage as well.

Amended my previous post to read Cumberland board and not Durham. Sorry so many postings I am getting confused going from one to the other.

Geoff gave you the 1841 and 1851 census information in March 09.
In 1841 Robert was married to Rachel.  Sadly it looks as if she died in 1841 and Robert remarried to Elizabeth.

If you look at Geoffs reply posting in March 2009.  He gives you the death and re-marriages references.
As well as 1841 and 1851 census.
