I found Emil's birth reg (Emil E ) and found the marriage reg -and then nothing??

I looked at all the Emil and bridgets b abt the correct time -but no death reg which looks like their surname

I will have to think about this!!!

Thank you Suz
I,ve tried everything i can think of with no luck even the Glamorgan Burial index.
Maybe they changed their name for some reason but they were still using it in 1942 on Bridget's son Thomas Walsh Marriage Certificate,
Many thanks Kyrenia

Did their children move away and parents moved with them???

Although I have checked England and wales

I found an Emil Selig who died in 1978 in Hastings

Do you live in the area -where maybe the library has local newspapers and you could look for an obituary??

Hi Suz,
I'm in Southampton so a little out of the way, the family say they think they both died in Maesteg,
Emil in the late 70's early 80's that's all the information i have at the moment.

Thank you for your help, Kyrenia

I'm almost there is a Speigelhalter grave in Maesteg cemetary right on one of the main paths that I walk along to get to my lot.

The only reason it sticks in my mind is because we had a customer where I used to work from Maesteg with the same surname and it's rather unusual.

I can't recall what names are on the grave, but I'm sure Bridget rings a bell - I'm not able to get there until Saturday if you can wait

I should also say that there are currently Speigelhalter's living in Maesteg - I know where they live as I had to deliver their car to them after it had been in for work in the garage I used to work in several years ago - they're only around the corner from my grandparents
