Hi,
 Thank you for you help,
I'm sure she must be there somewhere but no records for some reason I'm waiting for a
reply from the bereavement service Bridgend but it's been long time now so I've given up on them.

I have also  tried contacting Spiegelhalters in Maesteg no luck, Bridget & Emil had no children between them so no one seems interested in finding them. I'm working on behalf of Bridgets Grandson from her first marriage to Thomas Walsh he is buried in Maesteg they were Roman Catholic if that makes any difference to where the graves are.

Anyway thank you, don't put yourself out anytime would be good.

Kind regards Kyrenia

Yes it will - my lot are Roman Catholic (as am I). I'm almost certain the grave I've seen is in the RC section of the cemetary near where a few of my lot are buried.

I'll have a nose on Saturday and will get back to you over the weekend

Ok, not entirely good news (possibly not good news at all actually).

There is a Spiegelhalter grave by my gt grandparents grave, but no mention of a Bridget - if you ever manage to locate a year of death, I can pop back up when I (eventually) have a day off during the week and ask the groundsmen to search for a burial - this is assuming she is buried in Maesteg Cemetary and not LLangynwyd (the other local one).

The details on the grave (in case they are related are as follows:

Arthur Leo Spiegelhalter - died 30/12/1915, age 6. Noted as being the son of Emanuel and Hilda - however, they are not noted as being buried in this grave?

There are also two others:
Hector Martin Spiegelhalter - died 07/02/1980 (age 65), and Glenys (his wife) - died 12/01/2003 (age 86)

This is quite a substantial headstone (and typically I forgot to take my camera), so I wouldn't rule out other's being buried there, but there are no other names on the gravestone

Thank you that was kind of you,

Arthur and Hector were  the Brothers of Emil so it's the right family but as  i say can't  find any records of the death for both Emil and Bridget, maybe it's just one of those little mysteries of life.

If at anytime you do come across a groundsman maybe you could keep the names in mind,
Once again thank you for your help,

Merry Christmas to you, Kyrenia

Well if that's the right family, I'd have to assume that they are buried in the same cemetary - assuming that Bridget remained in Maesteg up to when she died.

The grave I located was definitely in the Catholic part, but after a while they stopped segregating the graves (so to speak), and my Catholic lot are spread all across the place - if she did died in the 1950's, it would narrow down the area she would be buried in - next time I'm there (which will ikely be just after New Year now), I'll have a look at the plots that were used in the 50's and 60's to see if your guys turn up around there - hopefully there will be a stone.

Will certainly keep you in mind though

Well guess what I've tracked her down, she died in Co Limerick (her name wrong spelling) so i presume that is buried over there somewhere but that another search.

A family member has a little piece of paper with a name of Brookfield Athea on and no one had  thought to tell me until Saturday, 4 months I've been looking for her!!!!!

Once again thank you for all your help and keep up the good work

 Merry Christmas, Kyrenia
