Alexander Brodie Iron Master Traquair
« on: Sunday 20 December 09 04:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

I read online that the plaque on the Traquair Church memorializing Alexander Brodie lists all nineteen of his nieces and nephews who inherited his estate. If anyone has this list I would so appreciate a copy.

Thanks,
Jeannie

Hi Jeanie

There is a photo of it here www.scotlandsplaces.gov.uk/search_item/index.php?service=RCAHMS&id=53210 (image 24). Worth saving on to your computer and enlarging from there! However, I don't think it lists by name his newphews and nieces.

Thanks, Monica! I had seen that. There were nineteen heirs and I have some but not all of their names. I'm hoping someone has done the research and has a list. Cheers!

Perhaps you could make contact with these descendents who are also trying to establish the list http://growyourownfamilytree.wordpress.com/about/
