The reason, i said contact the Church direct. because i have had to contact 3 churches, 2 in Republic of Ireland, one in Northern Ireland. so far none of the Church's has asked for a fee. The Church in the Northern Ireland, i have asked for information on a few times, each time, they do send me the information, but i do enclose a S.A.E to the Church in N. Ireland. for the Churchs in the Republic, i gave them my email address. All 3 churches are RC
One of the Churchs in the Republic has invited me to see the records, the next time i am in Ireland. i am going in March,
So i would advise, if you are going to contact the Church, send them a S.A.E or a an email address

Having finally made some sense of the Havering Library system, I believe all the parish records for Wennington are held at Upminster Library (whether they are and if they allow access remains to be seen), so it seems I will have to drag myself up there one day. It'd be great if the borough could collect all its records together in building ::)

Because Upminster have them does not mean thay are only held there, they will just be copies of the records held at Essex Record Office.

Copies will do me fine. The page for Hornchurch Library states that they have records mid 17th to early 20th, so that easily covers my decades of interest  ;D

Thanks all  :)
