I have an address of a Uncle that lived at the address below in the mid 1960's

Elgin
Morayshire Scotland
would there be Electoral Rolls available for that period so I can check to see of other people living there at that time.

There will be electoral rolls, however, none available on line to search. Would require a personal look up.

Due you know if the electoral rolls will be in Elgin, or in Edinburgh?

If in Elgin - either the Heritage site or Council offices - then I'll try to have a look.

Hi Kay and Stuart,

As Monica says, the electoral rolls are not available online. 
www.nas.gov.uk/guides/valuationrolls.asp gives an account of the holdings at Edinburgh, but stresses that they record the name and designation of the proprietor, the tenant, the occupier and the annual rateable value.  They do not list any other resident in a property.
Abject apologies ! I got my electoral rolls and valuation rolls confused.

Hi again Stuart.  The Moray Council website - www.moray.gov.uk/moray_standard/page_1435.html  mentions that the Elgin Library holds the following:

1. Electoral registers: since 1832;and Burgess Rolls/Jeremy Gibson &    Colin.

I have phoned Moray Council who referred me to the Local Heritage Centre,
old East End School, Institution Road, Elgin (01343-569011).  The lady there confirmed that they hold the above registers but she was unsure if they extend to the mid-1960's.
The National Library of Scotland (www.nls.uk/family-history/voters-rolls/index.html) states that "We hold almost all electoral registers from 1946. Local libraries and archives may also hold copies of the registers."

Thank you all so very much for your HELP and for the information that you have so kindly given to help me with my research ALL IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED...You may wonder why am I after the Electoral Rolls..I am seeing it at my last hope of finding links with my Evans family...all ties have been lost over the years and I am searching for a thread hoping that I may link up with members of the family. My Evans family originated in Wales.
