Can anyone point me to some good resources...

Trying to get more info..

I know his parents were:

Richard Newton, and Elizabeth Anderson.

I know he emmigrated to Canada, bu not sure when, or if his parents went also...

His father is referred to as Rev. Richard Newton, likely Methodist

Any ideas apprecited.
