Arthur Sydney Day b 1899 - which Regiment?
« on: Sunday 27 December 09 16:01 GMT (UK) »
Arthur (Known as Sydney) is recorded on his daughter's birth certificate as being both a professional Boxer and a Sgt in No. 2 Dispersal Unit in 1919

The Regiment has not been recorded but I have a  photograph of him in uniform posted from Ireland in 1917

He lived at that time in Yew Tree Cottage in Whitchurch, Salop

If anyone can help me with any further on any of this information I would be grateful to blast this brick wall!

By 'googling' no.2 dispersal unit ww1 - I have found that this unit was based in Clipstone Nottinghamshire.  Needs to be checked out.
