Go to Boobah,  Kinsale 123 and you will see Gravestone of John Savage who died  in Kinsale 1909,my great grandfather, he was buried in Tempo Co. Fermanagh and the Olde Bakery Kinsale was founded by Isaac Savage in 1850. and states that he came from Co.Fermanagh.  I am trying to trace the Savage family in Co. Fermanagh, from which we seem to have come from.  The Munster Fusiliers sounds interesting as I have a feeling there must be an army connection somewhere. Call it the Celtic instint if you like.  The best of luck.
I have a relative living one of the direct Savage line I must contact and will let you know if I find anything else out.
Watch this space.

HI Rawry, my grandmother was Lizzie Savage daughter of John and Helena Savage born 1873 in Bandon Co. Cork. Her maiden name was Lizzie McCabe who grew up in the Bandon area from what I can understand so far. Boobah
