CD resources?
« on: Saturday 02 January 10 19:06 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Can anyone recommend any great resource/research CD's for Notts? [and other areas - but in particular Notts, simply because others counties seem to have released more information on-line than our county. I have to say that cemetaries in other counties seem far more helpful and less grabbing for money than Notts!!!]

I am a member of a couple of websites - but with a few ancestors - are really struggling!

I wondered if I have reached the stage where I should be investing in some information CD's??

I would really appreciate any advice from those far more experienced than me.

Many thanks.

Elaine
Areas: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

Hi Elaine

The Baptism, Marriage & Burial CD's are great. They have enable me to take my Notts ancestors a lot further back.  Not all parishes are covered on the CD, but well worth the buy.  A couple more sites that I can think of.  It all depends on what you are researching.

Hi Elaine

Thanks for the link.  Yes I had seen it.  I think there are only 3 of the Nottinghamshire parishes on line.  On the CD you can buy there are a lot more of the smaller parishes.
