You didn't mention what you wanted to know?
Looked on SP for 1891 death, found none for Hugh Alexander. Did find a death for Hugh Alexander, 64 years old at Tarbolton in 1890  GROS DATA # 619/00 0007.

Also searched for a marriage Alexander and McWilliams, on SP found nothing.

Do you have an Andrew Alexander born around 1875?   He had some connection with my family (also Coylton).

I have Three Andrew Alexanders, one born 1885, one 1873 and another 1895. If that helps I can give you further information on them.

Szac,
You are right, Hugh did die in 1890. I believe he was born in Dailly around about 1816. He married Jane McWilliams in 1842. I have most of his children, and lots of stuff about the family after him. I would like info on his birth, Parents, siblings etc. This is a major hurdle and any help would be greatly appreciated.

The info on the 1890 death

Hugh Alexander-carter married to Jean McWilliams died March 1 1890 at 8:00 pm at Burns St. Tarbolton at the age of 64 years.
Parents were Hugh Alexander-coal miner deceased and Jane Alexander m.s. Campbell- deceased.
His son John Alexander was present.

Not sure of the cause of death possibly- Hemipegia Cum Coma- 3 days.

I have looked for these parents and didn't find any luck. Please keep in mind that the son was the informant and he may not have given the proper names. Will look for Hugh born in about 1816 and check for parents names.

szac,
That the one. I have searched OPR's in Carnegie Library, census returns and cannot find any mention of Hugh's parents. He was apparently born in Dailly and there is a few Alexanders there but none I can identify as being related to him, or me. Thanks for your help and any assistance you can offer me

My grandfather is Samuel Alexander born in Burns Street Tarbolton.  He is the son of Hugh Alexander who died in the 1950s. Any info you could send me on the Alexanders of Burns Street would be greatly appreciated.
Alexander, McLachlan and Poole all in Ayrshire
