    i want to send away for the parish records of oakington. what would be best CD or MICROFICHE

Depends on what's best for you, and what you have available!

The CD is £5 more than the fiche, before postage on the fiche, but includes Longstanton as well.

Do you have facilities to read the fiche (I use a 20x magnifying glass)

If you scratch the CD it could be a write off (I've done that) whereas fiches are relatively indestructible

I find CDs easier to use than fiche, but still prefer buying fiche.

There's no right answer. It's down to you.
