newspaper article - help needed!!
« on: Thursday 07 January 10 15:20 GMT (UK) »
hi

this is a strange one....
i was going through my nana's old stuff and i found a newspaper article about a couple's wedding.  it was not anyone from my family and my mum thinks it must be people my nan knew.

so i looked on ancestry and found the wedding in question was in 1970 (the article is in good condition for 40 yrs old)

i then looked on 192.com and found the couple now live in cheshire but i could not get any more info than that!!

i was lucky that it is quite an unusual name so to get this far was relatively easy.

I would love to send this article to this couple - it is of no use to me and maybe they do not have a copy of it.  I note it will be their 40th anniversary this year.

My question is - is there a way I can find their address or can anyone help me to do this?

below is the article - i have blurred out the names....

any help is appreciated!!

Just a suggestion if you know their surname and as you say last  known area was Cheshire you could try a couple of things:
Posting in free adds for area asking couple to contact or even try the local council they may have them on a voting list ?
Or try the phone book ? I have found it useful ,but it can take a few calls before you find right people.
Good luck hope you find them  xx

A few weeks ago there was a letter in our local free newspaper asking for help locating someone that this man had lost touch with 50 years ago.

I noticed this week a further letter thanking people for their help and confirming that contact had been made.

You could try something like that

i have now found the town they are registered in but have also found that they must be in Spain for some of the time!!

I have found a spanish phone number for them and an email address for a walking group in spain they are members of!!

Not sure what to do - I don't want to phone as I am sure he will think it's a scam - as I would!!

I could email the walking group and ask for him to email me?  I really wanted an address so I could just send the article with an explanation note but the cheshire address is ex-directory and don't think I can find it? :-\

I know that there are strict rules re the info given on living people on this site and rightly so, but as this article has already been published in the Press, showing names etc, would it be against the rules to show the complete article here?
