COMPLETED Restoration of photo circa 1890 (again)
« on: Thursday 07 January 10 18:06 GMT (UK) »
This photo of my great aunt was likely taken in the early 1890's as she was born November 1887 in Leeds. It needs restoration due to the crease, but also due to the image surface deteriorating. Can someone help with this, as it's an adorable photo and the detail has been lost. I'm trying this again, as I must have screwed up the last posting. Sorry if I end up with two of these.

How do you do this so quickly? I have Photoshop, but I guess I need training, as I can't do anything as good as this and it takes me hours!

Our weather should be about 75 today. Colder inside the house than out. I need to pry myself away from this now and go prune the roses!

Thanks so much for your help.

Louise

Hi Louise

This is potentially a wonderful photo. However, the pixels are showing even without any restoration. Have you compressed it or used any filters?

Please post the original scan, if you still have it.

Restoring old photos properly  can take days and weeks if they are in a poor condition.
