Can this copy of original be improved?

This is a photo from about 1915 taken in Canada after my grandparents immigrated from England. My grandmother is on the left, her sister on the right. It's a copy of the original and I just wondered if anything could be done to improve the quality? Thank you,

Hi Louise...do you have the original of this photo? If so, could you scan it at a higher resolution please, 300dpi would be good. It's scanned at a very low resolution and very blocky. When a restorer enlarges it to work on, this is what they see:

Hmmmm. I shall look and see what I can find. I know it was a reproduction from the original and that I had a paper copy of the reproduction. I shall get back with you and try to scan what I have at a higher resolution. Thank you for the opportunity to try again.

The paper copy seems to be hiding at present. I will try to rescan and resubmit for help when found. Thank you.

Well, if all you have is a copy, the original scan might not be very good...but give it a try anyway.

You will have to rename your file before posting, but just adding a number or letter to it should be okay. Yell if you need help...
