Thanks for your help.
It was a relatively small community in Palestine.  There may have only been 2 generations in Palestine at the time, so at most a 2nd cousin.  I thought Anna Weigold might be Bertha's step-sister (she had quite a few), but the word 'base' keeps coming up and cousin seems to fit...I can't find any photos of Bertha actually living in the same compound as Anna, so I think cousins rather than immediate family.  There probably wasn't room anyway - 12 siblings!
I'm going to put this one to bed.  I'll post another post card later tonight.
