marriages Windsor Terrace Glasgow 1800s
« on: Wednesday 13 January 10 16:08 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I just joined this interesting forum. I wonder if anyone can help? An ancestor of mine moved from Liverpool to Glasgow, met his wife and married her at 5 Windsor Terrrace off Maryhill Road in 1876. I note that  many marriages ocurred in Windsor Terrace at different numbers including No 5 and 30 during the 19th Century. The minister was a David Farquhar. Can anyone tell me whether there was or still is a church there and if so, which denomination it is?
Thanks
Dan

Just putting a link to your duplicate post on the Lanarkshire board www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,430380.0.html  Looks like you have had some good responses there  :)

Hi Monica
Thanks for the link. I am amazed at the response. What a great site this is. It would have taken weeks for me to get as far as this otherwise.
