Jump Nr plymouth?

on the 1851 census HO107/1894 fo191 p22 Thomas Manley appears to be born in JUMP Devon in 1861 he is from Plymouth
Is there, or was there,  a place anything like JUMP in the Plymouth area

There is a Jump Close( I believe named after the area called Jump)  in Roborough not far from Bickleigh , both are on the outskirts of Plymouth.
