I am trying to trace the parents of John Frederick Behn b1795 in foreign parts. I have a hunch this was Hanover, Germany. John married Alice Pattinson 20,2,1825 at St. Peters Church in Liverpool and I believe died in l879. 1841 census showed them living in Dale St, Liverpool.

I have tried Familysearch.org for Germany but without success.

He, if there is only one, was in Matthew St Liverpool and a sugar refiner. Looks like he bought shares in the Bolton and Preston Railway, to the value of 1000 pound.

There is a John F. Behn in Liverpool in 1861 - he is aged 36, a Commercial traveller, born in Liverpool
RG 9 / 2721 / 113 / 19

The same John is in Aughton (Ormskirk RD) in 1871 and 1881.

I can't see any sign (yet) of a John F. Behn born 1759 after 1841.
