Who says it was the Kezia baptised 1762 who was buried in 1784? The entries on the IGI which are member submissions (unreliable) are at cross purposes. One shows the Kezia who was buried on 23 May 1784 was the one baptised in 1762, the other thinks she was the wife of William born c1715.

The only way to move on this one is to check Turvey parish register to see if there is any extra detail, eg wife of William, dau of William or whatever.

Then, assuming she was the wife of William, you have to decide if it was Kezia from Turvey who married in Bozeat, Northants, only 6 miles away. Have you checked the marriage entry to see if Kezia is described as "of the parish of Turvey" ? Who were the witnesses?

I can't see a burial or marriage of Kezia in Beds, so it looks quite good from that point of view, but she could have married elsewhere in Northants or Bucks which are both very close to Turvey. And Northants is very poorly covered on the IGI so your Kezia could actually have been baptised in Northants. Have you checked Bozeat parish register to see if there's a Kezia Skevington baptised there?

David

I see from from your thread on the Northants board that they married in Moulton, not Bozeat, and that Kezia was "of Bozeat". In which case you first need to check Bozeat parish register for a possible baptism, and also get the witness names at the Moulton marriage to see if they provide a clue

Someone on this board may have a transcript of Turvey burials, but if not you can order and view it at your nearest LDS Family History Centre - a full list can be found at www.familysearch.org

The same goes for the Northants parishes, although you might try a look up request first, and perhaps a follow up to Sandy's message to you about the Moulton marriage to see if the witnesses are named
