Hi,
Thank you for your reply Agadowey,
Looking forward to 1901 census coming out,it may help enormously, with some of the other rellies as well,!
Some years ago,I was fortunate enough to have a a friend who made a quick look at the 1901 for Tyrone, and he informed me that there were only 4 Alexander Robinsons in in Co TYRONE AT THAT POINT.
TWO OF THEM WERE FAR TOO OLD!!,
The other two were 9 years old ( he lived in townland of Mallabeny,Clogher. but he had parents John and Mary Robinson))and a 4 year old.
At that time had I absolutely no other info on Alexander Harold Robinsonat all.
It was only after receiving marriage cert that I discovered that he was a minor and illegitimate-so that discounted the 9 year old!!
The 4 year old looked a good bet-but by then had lost touch with my friend in Belfast.
Looking at 1911 census, any Alexander I have found of required age seems to have parents-but definately cannot find an Alexander Harold Robinson at all.
I even searched whole of Ireland.
By the way, only discovered his middle name, after eventually finding his death in Liverpool, just over 6 mths ago-I had been told that he moved to Liverpool after split with my grandmother.
I have a picture of him in Police uniform-he became a Sergeant in the RUC BY 1926.
Many Thanks
Elsa-Mary
