Hello Dorris;
Thank you for your help. This may well be, however a birth certificate has turned up, and details as follows.
Emma Rouse, bn 1888, Father John  Rouse, Mother Emily Rouse.
address, East Street, St James, Colchester.

Age matches, Mother matches,  But the rest does not fit.
Have you any details on the rest,  if any might fit into the above.

Thank s
Kind Regards..............

I'd guess this is the right family as they seem to be these ones listed in 1881, but with the father name John.

 Household:

 Name  Relation Marital Status Gender Age Birthplace Occupation Disability
 John ROUSE   Head   M   Male   27   Colchester St James   Labourer To Bricklayer
 Emily ROUSE   Wife   M   Female   26   Boxted, Essex, England
 Florence L. ROUSE   Daur      Female   4   Colchester St Marton
 George S. ROUSE   Son      Male   1   Colchester St Marton

  Dwelling   Greenstead Rd
  Census Place Greenstead, Essex, England
  RG11
  Piece / Folio   1793 / 69
  Page Number   6

I'll post up the full 1891 details in a minute

Hi ec;
I will digest your finding a little more, but just wanted to get the following here;

Father John Rouse, Occupation FISH HAWKER, what ever that may be?

I also notice that under where and when bn, " East Street,St James, USD."

Thanks for your help.
