james first son was robert so maybe fathers name or brother.
hard to find anything. before iom.

James + familiy(5 ch) is at 10 Heywood Lane (Douglas) in 1851 - english born mariner - doesn't appear to be on 1841 IoM census
Ellen is buried Braddan 18520510 age 33 followed shortly afterwards(16 Jul) by a 10week old infant also called Ellen

thank you. i have family on iom. i cant find who her parents are because there are a great number of cannells on iom at that time and more than one named ellen.
ttrying to find parents of james and ellen and siblings also where the children went when they married and left. i know about william 1851 my g. gt. not the others.

Thos Cannell + Elizth Moore would be high on my suspect  list - Elizth d age 43 bur Braddan 18270607 - Thos is I think a 60yr old ag lab + son John (roper apprentice)  living in Bigwell st in 1841 - can find dau sarah as servant not too far away.
