Have you tried the Archivists at the RAF Museum at Hendon.  They have all sorts of esoterica... If you go to the web page they have a request information section.  Sometimes they cant help but mostly they can and they tend to come straight back if they cant.  If you do get a copy perhaps you could post it so we can all see it cos I would be interested too.

Hi

It does take some time especially if its not easy to hand! They actually sent me the copies of the stuff I was interested in the post with no further acknowledgement by email...  Will cross my fingers for you.

Hi

The oath is still taken by any recruit who joins the RAF (or any of the other services) and is to serve Queen and Country etc:

Attestation oath:
I, ….{Name}….... Affirm that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the second, her heirs and successors, and i will as in duty bound, honestly and faithfully defend her majesty, her heirs and successors, in person, crown and dignity against all enemies, and will observe and obey all orders of her majesty, her heirs and successors, and of the air officers and other officers set over me.

Oath of Allegiance:
I, ….{Name}…....
Swear by almighty god that i will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the second, her heirs and successors, and i will as in duty bound, honestly and faithfully defend her majesty, her heirs and successors, in person, Crown and dignity against all enemies, and will observe and obey all orders of her majesty, her heirs and successors, and of the air officers and other officers set over me.

The wording will have changed very little except it would be King I suppose in WW2

No problem it was a cut and paste job off a powerpoint presentation... We attest recruits here on a regular basis so they have it to hand...

Hello Newbie Speaking.
I'm looking for information regarding the Polish pilots that participated in the Battle of Britain. So far I've found information indicating they joined the RAFVR. I'm especially interesting in if they swore an oath of allegiance to the King. Thanks.
