Paul,

if you google church road,Alloa it still seems to exist on a modern map. it would have been a house they were born in  not a hospital.

Archibald just makes the 1881 census:
church road, Alloa:
John Kerr   35
Christina    31
John     10
Alexander D G Kerr   8
Christina  2
Archibald M kerr  2mths

Hi Paul, i had that info off A* and because its a scottish census i cannot go into the full record to get the full address. However you will be able to get it off scotlands people for a small number of credits.

ive went on to scotlands people and downloaded what i think is the correct census document.

it has them listed as being at 119 church road.

the only thing that confuses me is that his wife christina kerr isnt on there.

it looks like margaret kerr!!??!!

was this the 1881 Paul? cos as you can see A* has the names as John & Christina!! (see above)
weird I will try and check that - the 1881 is widely available as an index but only SP will show the whole thing. occassionally errors do occur!! but more usually age.

Paul -
not sure if you've been at the Scottish mist my friend  ;)   but the SP version definately says John & Christina but at 113 Church Road. I even looked at 119 church road and that is a family of McKenzies.

Cheers!!  Diddy  ;D (no offence intended)
