Anne Isobella Hyde- Flintshire brth query.
« on: Monday 25 January 10 13:33 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the correct birth year for  Anne Isobella Hyde.
Born about 1859-60, in Hawarden  area.
I believe her father was Frederick Hyde, Gentleman already deceased in 1877 when she married John  William Roberts in Liverpool. She stated she is 21 in November 1877.
I  have found Richard Edlestone Hyde, her  brother born 1855 registered in Holywell.Unsure if there were other siblings?

If any one has any suggestions as I can not find anyone of her name in the BMD index between 1856 and 1861 I would be very pleased.

Hmmm, yes, she is age 12 in 1871 RG10; Piece: 5465; Folio: 6; Page: 6 Llanelly - staying with the Charles Family.

Her brother Richard was there in 1861, but could not see her on a quick pass.

Hi

Although Civil Reg was introduced in 1837 - failure to register a birth only became a "fineable" offence in 1875.  Consequently - a lot of births went unregistered

If you have her brothers birth reg - it may be as well to get a copy of his birth cert to establish parentage

I notice that Richard was a visitor in Carmarthenshire in 1861- Frances Charles - master mariners wife

There's a possible marriage of parents Frederick and Mary, registered Great Boughton, q3 1854, 8a/414. Frederick Hyde + Mary Gregory.

Great Bouhton is very close to Queensferry.
