I would say that's extremely likely and probably why he was known by his middle name. As far as I can tell, his parents married the August or so and his father crashed in Germany (RAF) in the September.

I do apologise if I am breaching any rules. I have tried to post as little information as possible, but I do know that he is definitely deceased - there is no doubt about that. I have also confirmed with the Middlesbrough RO that the birth mentioned earlier in this thread is the one I'm looking for, and would assume the corresponding death matches also. However, if you still feel the information is too recent (which I can totally understand), I have no problems with the thread being removed.
