Can see a Jane TODD marrying a John Henry ROSSER  in 1914 melbourne  reg # 1791 ( ( not sure if this is yours ? )


Also a Jane TODD married John GREEN  in 1903 
Jans birth place LINTON  /  Johns birth place BALLARAT

Do you know when and where your uncle died?

There is also a man by  the same name who enlisted in WW@  the nominal roll shows he was born in 1918 in Roma QLD.

Perhaps if you could tell us all a bit more information on  him

My Uncle married Elva Marjorie Deane in Melbourne Vic in 1940, & died in 1992, in Melbourne Vic. They had a family of 4 children born thru the 40s & 50s, in Melb.

Have you taken the birth information from the marriage certificate or his death certificate?

His birth certificate may give you more information eg the age of his mother and her place of birth and then she  may be traceable on the death indexes.
