There is a Mary Flintoff Banks born June Quarter 1905 in Darlington Durham and a death for a Mary Flintoff Banks in Sept Quarter 1994 Mansfield District.  Date of birth 9th April 1905 - perhaps she never married if it is your Mary Flintoff.

Tressle

Ps - I see the 1911 says that there were 8 children with 6 living. The 1901 census has a Annie Lavinia Banks born Darlington (1899) and a death in 1906 Darlington.

Hi Judith ,

You will find the family of Billy Banks, his brother, at Manor Farm, Egmanton. Billy was my gt. uncle by marriage. Have you had a look at BassetlawMuseum, you will find some family photos on there. If you contact the editor of the Egmnaton magazine you will find him very helpful. The magazine is Readable on Trenside Community Projects, newsletters. My brother-in-law was born in Bothamsall.

They moved from the farm at Haughton in the late 1940's to Egmanton. Manor farm had been in the family for about 300yrs, uncle Billy bought it from an uncle of ours and it is now run by his grandson/sons.

Just to update you the Banks family at Manor farm is  the grandson of my Uncle Billy. Geoff, Billys' son was retired but sadly died last year. I don't have any info. about the family who are/were still in Haughton. The Egmanton Villager magazine maybe a big help to you.
